Canine distemper is a viral infectious disease, with strong contagiousness, short onset time and high mortality rate, so many parents talk about canine distemperment. The early symptoms of dogs suffering from canine distemper are loss of appetite, listlessness, and increased body temperature, which is somewhat similar to the symptoms of a cold. Therefore, many inexperienced parents often treat it as a common cold, which delays the dog's condition. So is there a possibility of curing dogs after they suffer from canine distemper?

1. Symptoms of canine distemper

Initial symptoms: In the early stage of canine distemper, the dog's symptoms are weakness, not eating much, and the mental state will be very poor. There are mucus flowing out of the nose and eyes, which is somewhat similar to the symptoms of a cold. However, the difference is that in the early stage of canine distemper, there will be symptoms of high fever that cannot subside. Therefore, if the owner finds this situation, do not be careless. You can use test strips to detect whether the dog is sick.

Treatment of canine distemper is the stage with the highest possibility of cure, so the owner must not miss this stage.

Intermediate symptoms: Over time, blood vessels may be secreted from the nose, and the body temperature will not fade, which will last until about 39.5-41. The duration will be about two days to return to normal, and the appetite will rise.

Later-stage symptoms: Missing the treatment in the middle stage. If the dog waits for the late stage of the disease, the possibility of cure is basically smaller. The dog will vomit and diarrhea, and the vomit and excrement will taste particularly severe. The feces are watery, as well as mucus and blood, and eventually muscle twitch, dehydration and even death.

2. Prevention of canine distemper

Because canine distemper is also a very terrible disease, prevention should be far more important than treatment. Therefore, in order to avoid dogs suffering from canine distemper, several points should be prevented.

First: Pay attention to the cleaning of the living environment of the dog at home, clean it regularly, sterilize and disinfect it to prevent the breeding of germs; regularly ventilate to ensure the cleanliness of the living environment; at the same time, the hygiene of the dog itself is also very important. You should bathe the dog regularly and use shower gel for pet dogs to not only care for your hair, but also keep the dog clean.

Second: Deworming well, both internal and external deworming are equally important. External deworming can be performed once a month, and internal deworming vaccines can be injected, and once every three months.

Finally: Vaccines for canine distemper must be injected in time. After adulthood, dogs generally need to be injected every year or every three years. It depends on the age and type of vaccine.

So if the dog suffers from canine distemper, and it is just the early stage, the possibility of cure is very high. The owner should immediately take the dog to the hospital for anti-disease vaccine or serum, and take care of it carefully. The dog is likely to recover, but if it has been delayed and the vaccine is difficult to achieve effect, the possibility of cure is relatively small.
