After May Day, the real summer is coming soon. The streets are filled with short-sleeved shorts, and the night beer and barbecue era begins. There is a lot of happiness in summer, but it has nothing to do with dogs. After all, the hot summer days always make dogs a little hard to bear. So, in the face of the coming summer, what issues should friends with dogs pay attention to?

01 You cannot eat cold foods

Eating iced foods in summer is undoubtedly the most enjoyable. However, many dogs have very fragile stomachs. If you eat too much cold food to understand the summer heat, it is easy to cause symptoms such as diarrhea and gastrointestinal discomfort. It is recommended not to give dogs cold food.

02 Ventilation, coolness, air conditioning, cooling

In summer, give the dog a ventilated and cool environment. The so-called ventilation is not just a little bit of a gap in the window. In hot days, a gap cannot cool down the room. Avoid direct sunlight, especially do not keep your dogs alone on the balcony. The summer sun will definitely cause heatstroke. In severe cases, it is life-threatening! ! !

03 Ensure water supply

In summer, pay special attention to whether the dog's water basin has enough fresh drinking water.

Summer is the time when dogs have the highest demand for moisture. You should prepare enough drinking water for your dog at home, and keep it clean and hygienic. It is best to change it frequently. You should also bring enough water when going out to prevent dogs from having dehydration and heat stroke.

04 Adjust the dog walking time

The best dog walking time in summer is before 8 am and after the sun sets in the evening. Two reasons. The sun is so vicious in summer that dogs can easily overheat their body temperature and heatstroke when walking under the sun. After the sun shines for a short period of time, the road surface will be very hot, and in severe cases, dog paws will be burned.

05 Never leave the dog in the car

for a few minutes! It is useless to leave a slit in the car window! It's useless to park in the shade of a tree! When the outdoor temperature is 25 degrees Celsius, the temperature in the car can reach 27-48 degrees Celsius within a few minutes; if the outdoor temperature is 32 degrees Celsius, the temperature in the car can rise to above 70 degrees Celsius within 10 minutes. In such an environment, the dog simply cannot survive for 15 minutes.
