According to the Times, Manchester City and the Premier League reached a settlement on related party trading rules (APT rules) to other clubs breathed a sigh of relief.

Previously, Manchester City's competitors had worried that if Manchester City wins, it could lead to unlimited sponsorship by affiliates. If it fails, it may trigger a new round of expensive legal lawsuits. According to sources, the legal costs of arbitration on the APT rules alone may be as high as about £20 million, equivalent to £1 million per club.
